Babies are just the most precious thing and so I capture them just as they are. I love to capture new parents interacting with their baby rather than posing them or using props.
If you have a selection of favourite outfits for baby or simply must include the cuddly toy that Grandma sent, that's fantastic. However I do try to keep things natural, highlighting your little ones emerging personality instead of concentrating on backdrops and sets.
As cute as they are, babies do run on their own schedule and you might need time in the shoot to settle, feed or change them. I recommend a minimum of 1 hour for a new born shoot so that you and baby can relax and enjoy the shoot.
